BRADENTON, Fla. — Station 2 Innovation has partnered with Microsoft to conduct a class on Resume Building, Developing a powerful and impactful LinkedIn profile, and Business Networking skills to get the most out of networking business and social events on June 21st from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Microsoft has made a huge commitment toward helping entrepreneurs and the business community in their purchase of LinkedIn, and Station 2 Innovation is proud to work directly with them as we strive together to accelerate business success in Manatee & Sarasota Counties.

Everyone knows what a powerful platform LinkedIn can be when it comes to developing business relationships and Station 2 Innovation and Microsoft want members to know how to best leverage this platform whilst using LinkedIn as a personal branding tool.

Learn to showcase accomplishments during our Resume Building class and communicate how an applicant is “fit” for the position desired. We help attendees present themselves as “doers” and show what should be minimized and maximized from job experience and skills.

Not only is Business Networking useful for meeting and learning directly from individuals at events, but the benefits of association and growing authority in the community are also useful. Learn to maintain relationships, pitch your unique value proposition, become the go-to resource and local expert, and elevate yourself as a valuable asset to the business base of the area.

This class will prepare attendees for Station 2 Innovation’s Talent Fair on July 12th where local employers and entrepreneurs will be scouting for talent to hire or join a business venture.

In the evening, Station 2 Innovation will continue its mission of “Building & Connecting the Community to Catalyze & Support Entrepreneur Growth” by hosting a Business Networking session from 5:00pm – 6:15pm where many in the local business community come to socialize and learn from each other before a scheduled speaker presents at 6:15pm. The speaker for Tuesday, June 21st will be Rocket Burns, a local student entrepreneur, where he will share his experience launching 2 companies, acting as a business and school consultant for technical equipment, harnessing a kickstarter campaign and pitching for funding, and creating a series of inventions.
